1:48 B-26B Marauder LööKplus brings together a pre-varnished instrument panel, double-sided masks and resin wheels for a model of the American medium bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package brings together three separately sold Eduard accessories for a model of the Martin B-26B Marauder twin-engine bomber in 1:48 scale. The buyer thus gets a finished instrument panel, a masking set and replacement wheels in a single box instead of taking them one at a time. The kit of the aircraft has to be owned separately.
The Marauder was a fast American medium bomber with a small wing and a high wing loading. At the start of its career it had a reputation among crews as a demanding machine, but after the span was extended and training was changed it was among the types with the lowest combat losses in relation to the number of sorties. The B version made up the main part of wartime production.
Double-sided masks have the advantage that the frames stand out even when seen from inside the cockpit, which on the glazed nose of the Marauder is very visible. Cut the resin wheels off with a saw and wash them before painting, so that the remains of the mold are removed. Fit the panel before you close the fuselage.
The set is for a builder who wants a cleanly unmasked glazed nose and legible instruments in the cockpit without hand painting tiny dials.
The glazing of the Marauder's nose is made up of a larger number of small panes, so unmasking takes more time than with the one-piece canopy of a fighter. Lift the shapes off one at a time and check straight away whether the paint has crept onto the glass.
