Responsibility details are not available.
This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker Arma Hobby. The Operation Torch boxing is tied to the Allied invasion of North Africa in November 1942. The model has fine engraved detail and clear canopy parts, and in this modern tooling it is usually accompanied by files for printing small parts on a resin printer. Check the exact contents and the number of markings on the box itself.
The Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat was the standard carrier fighter of the US Navy in the first years of the war in the Pacific, and it carried six 12.7 mm machine guns and folding wings to save space on the decks. During Operation Torch in November 1942, Wildcats supported the Allied landings in North Africa from the deck of USS Ranger and the escort carriers; British aircraft of the same type carried the designation Martlet.
In the small 1:72 scale work with a sharp knife and cut the small parts away carefully. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Mask the glazing and glue with liquid cement for plastic. Spray the blue-gray naval camouflage with an airbrush over primer and keep the transitions between shades subtle. Bring out the panel lines with a thin wash and settle the decals on gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories beyond the contents of the box are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
