Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive die-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but an accessory to the build: the masks serve for a clean, accurate spray finish on the frames of the cockpit glazing and for masking the wheel rims. The thin film follows the shape of the frames exactly, so there is no laborious cutting and the edges stay sharp.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War and one of the most successful machines of US naval aviation in the Pacific. The rugged single-engine aircraft with its radial engine and framed sliding canopy earned a reputation as a reliable, tough machine with the upper hand over Japanese fighters. Its framed cockpit is worth bringing out with an accurate spray finish.
Lift the mask off the backing, settle it on the glazing and press it down. Spray the frames with an airbrush, first with the interior shade and then with the exterior tone, and peel them off once dry. Cover the areas between the frames with liquid mask or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying, for better adhesion.
This is not an aircraft model but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
