The set contains a resin propeller for a model of the American Grumman F6F Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale, together with an assembly jig for seating the blades exactly. It is an aftermarket accessory from Quickboost (Aires) that replaces the plastic parts of the kit with a more faithfully cast propeller and hub. It is not an airplane model but a detail set.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a single-seat carrier fighter with a radial engine, used in the Second World War. The massive propeller and its spinner are a prominent feature of the nose. More faithfully made blades and a hub will improve the overall impression of a finished build.
Wash the resin parts to remove mold release and separate them from the casting blocks. The jig supplied helps you seat the blades at the right angle before the glue hardens. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways and ventilate while sanding resin.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
