1:72 F/A-18D VMFA-121 Green Knights

Model Maker Decals 1:72 F/A-18D VMFA-121 Green Knights

A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale for the two-seat F/A-18D Hornet fighter-bomber in the markings of the US Marine Corps, specifically of squadron VMFA(AW)-121 with the nickname Green Knights. This is not a kit but an accessory with markings for a finished, painted model.

The real subject and the markings

The F/A-18D is the two-seat multirole version of the Hornet, which the US Marine Corps used for attack as well as reconnaissance tasks. The Green Knights squadron belongs to the traditional units of the USMC and its machines carry distinctive unit markings. The set makes it possible to build a representative machine exactly after the historical original.

Use

• Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss coat; this prevents silvering under the film.
• Use a decal softener and a decal fixer so that they settle onto the panel lines.
• Once dry, seal them with a clear coat matching the desired sheen of the model.

Who the set is for

For modelers of modern jet equipment and for enthusiasts of US naval aviation.

This is a set of decals; the aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
