A mask set for a model of the Phantom FG.1 airplane in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation FG.1 was carried by the British version of the Phantom II fighter. It served with the Royal Navy and later with the Royal Air Force and differed from the American machines in a number of changes, among them power plants of British manufacture. It is a two-seat twin-engine airplane that you will recognize by the raised wingtips and, conversely, the drooped horizontal tail surfaces.
A mask set for a model of the Phantom FG.1 in 1:72 scale. Which areas the masks cover and which kit they are tuned to is given by the manufacturer's instructions; with masks for shaped parts the exact shape is tied to a particular kit, so it is worth checking that before buying.
The masks are laid on a clean, dry and degreased surface, and always before spraying. Press the edges down carefully with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick, otherwise paint will bleed under them. Spray in thin coats and preferably in two passes, because a heavy wet coat bleeds even under a mask that is well stuck down. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, not after several days, and pull it at a sharp angle back over itself, so that the fresh paint does not flake at the edge. Tweezers with a fine tip help with taking it off.
For modelers who build the Phantom in its British form in 1:72 scale and want crisp edges without laborious covering with tape.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
