This is an add-on set of painting masks, not a kit and not decals. The parts are cut in advance to the shape of the glazed areas and are stuck to the clear part before the paint goes on. Once they come off, the cockpit frame is left precisely bounded and the glazing clean.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D was a version of the Fw 190 fighter with an inline, liquid-cooled engine in place of the original radial unit. The lengthened nose and the rear fuselage stretched further back with a taller fin gave the aircraft a markedly different silhouette from the A series, hence the nickname Long-Nose. The type came about as a high-altitude fighter with better performance at greater heights. On this series the canopy has a shape without heavy framing, so when painting it the point is above all a clean transition between the glazing and the fuselage spine, where tape applied by hand easily leaves an uneven edge.
Wash the clear part and let it dry thoroughly. Lift the masks off the sheet with tweezers and first lay them on dry, to check that the shape matches the canopy of your kit. Once they are stuck down, press the edges with a toothpick, otherwise paint will creep underneath. A proven order is to spray the interior shade of the frames first, then the undercoat and finally the camouflage. Lay the paint on in thin coats, because a heavy coat leaves a pronounced ridge once the mask comes off. Lift the mask off shortly after it has dried, and peel it along the surface rather than straight up.
The masks are an accessory, not a kit. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
