An injection-molded plastic kit of the single-engine Fokker S-11 Instructor trainer in 1:72 scale from the maker Kovozavody Prostejov, made from a new mold. The package contains light gray plastic sprues, clear cabin parts, decals and paper instructions. The model is meant to be glued together and painted.
The Fokker S-11 Instructor was a two-seat single-engine basic trainer with fixed landing gear that first flew in the Netherlands at the end of the 1940s. It was used by the Dutch Air Force as well as by a number of foreign users, and it was also built under license. Side-by-side seating for the pilot and the pupil and a simple, rugged design made it a popular machine for the first hours of training, and with some users it served for many years.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and glue the clear glazing with a non-fogging adhesive. The striking finishes of trainer aircraft suit gloss shades applied with an airbrush over a primer. Settle the decals onto gloss varnish; a final matte or semi-gloss varnish will unify the surface. The span of the finished model is fairly small in this scale, so expect delicate parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
