A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the exhaust pipes of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in the A-3 version, in 1:72 scale. The Fw 190A was powered by the BMW 801 radial engine and its exhausts are clearly visible along the sides of the cowling. The casting brings a faithful shape and open outlets that are hard to create in the plastic from the box. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The exhausts are among the details the eye notices first on a finished model, and their shape and hollow ends strongly affect the realistic impression. The resin casting captures the fine texture and the open outlets, so once painted and lightly weathered it looks faithful. It replaces the simplified parts with no need for laborious drilling of the outlets.
