An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8/R2 in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The model captures the heavily armed version called the Sturmbock, intended for destroying Allied bombers. The package contains finely shaped plastic parts and decals for several Luftwaffe machines. It is a popular subject from the end of the Second World War in the rendering of a respected Czech manufacturer.
The Fw 190 was one of the best German fighters of the Second World War. The A-8/R2 version was one of the so-called Sturmböcke, that is, machines with strengthened armament and armor that were meant to break up formations of American four-engine bombers at close range. It carried 30 mm cannon and was used by the assault squadrons in the defense of the Reich in 1944 and 1945.
Glue the plastic parts with thin cement and sand the seams carefully. Finish the engine and the cockpit before closing the fuselage. The late German camouflage schemes with the rich markings of the assault squadrons come out well once a gloss coat has been applied under the decals. Bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and suggest the wear discreetly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
