Injection-molded plastic kit of the late war fighter Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-13 in 1:72 scale from IBG Models. The model from a modern new tooling captures the late Dora version in the production form from Nordenham, with the typical features of the late D family. For the exact contents of the box and the number of decal schemes with this item we recommend checking the particular box.
The Fw 190D Dora was the last large-scale production version of the famous Focke-Wulf, powered by the liquid-cooled inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213 engine in a characteristically lengthened nose. The D-13 version was among the best armed and most capable machines of the family. The model reflects the late features: the smooth engine cowling, the large oval supercharger intake and the propeller with wide blades. The Dora deployed at the close of the war is among the most popular German fighters with modelers.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic; the modern tooling offers an accurate fit. Paint and highlight the cockpit interior before closing up the fuselage and fit the glazing with masks. Apply a gloss coat before the decals; late war machines take more pronounced wear and chipping paint. At the end, bring out the panel lines with a gentle wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
