Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 fighter in 1:72 scale, focused on machines built at the Mimetall plant. The box contains plastic parts on sprues and a small decal sheet; the model is intended to be glued together and painted.
The Fw 190D-9 was the late fighter version of the proven Focke-Wulf Fw 190, powered by the inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213A engine. The lengthened nose and tail gave the machine the nickname Dora; compared with the radial-engined versions it offered better performance at high altitude, higher speed and a better rate of climb. Aircraft assembled at the Mimetall plant had certain characteristic production differences and were used at the very end of the war in 1945.
Fit out and paint the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up, and mask the glazing. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic and apply a base coat before painting. Spray the late German schemes in gray-green shades with an airbrush; a slight shading of the panels and discreet weathering will give the model depth. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
