About product

Fw 190D inspection panels, late version, 1:72 (Aires)

A detail accessory from the Aires brand, not an aircraft kit. The set holds cast resin parts and a photo-etched fret for showing the inspection and service panels on the fuselage and the engine section open. It lets you bring out the kind of detail aircraft show during maintenance, in photographs or in a damaged state.

What the set is for

  • Showing the inspection and service hatches open
  • Adding detailed interior structure under the panels
  • A realistic in-service or diorama look for the aircraft
  • Adding fine parts in photo-etch

Usage tips

Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks, then work them into the plastic once the relevant area has been cut out. Bond with super glue and bend the photo-etch exactly according to the instructions. Protect your airways when sanding.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D Dora
  • Creators of dioramas and maintenance scenes
  • More experienced modelers working with resin and photo-etch

An accessory to an existing kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.

FAQ

Showing the inspection and service panels of the Fw 190D open with detailed structure, which suits dioramas and maintenance scenes above all.

Yes, besides the resin parts a photo-etched fret for the fine pieces is included.

No, it is a detail accessory for an existing Fw 190D model in 1:72 scale.

It calls for cutting areas out of the plastic and for precise work with resin and photo-etch, so we recommend it to more experienced modelers.
