The PzKpfw IV Ausf.H was the most numerously built version of the German medium tank of the Second World War. It carried a 7.5 cm gun with a barrel 48 calibers long, and you can recognize it by the thin add-on skirts along the sides of the hull and around the turret. The military designation Sd.Kfz.161 belongs to this type of tank and is used alongside the name PzKpfw IV.

Paint the tracks and the road wheels separately before you set them in place, otherwise you will not reach the lower part of the running gear. Fit the side skirts only after the hull has been painted, because they cover a strip that can no longer be sprayed. If you go for the late dark yellow base, brighten it in the middle of the panels and leave the shadows in the recesses. Apply dust from the bottom upward and let it reach the upper surfaces only lightly; otherwise the model looks muddy rather than worn.
The kit suits modelers who collect German armor in 1:72 scale and builders of dioramas where more vehicles fit side by side. The lower part count compared with larger scales makes it a rewarding build over a few evenings. Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
