This is a resin, 3D printed accessory in 1:72 scale that faithfully captures the Soviet Goryunov SG-43 heavy machine gun. It is not a vehicle kit or a figure, but a stand-alone weapon intended to bring a scene to life, to complete a crew or to be placed in a combat build. Thanks to resin printing it has sharp detail that is hard to achieve in injection-molded plastic at this scale.
The Goryunov SG-43 was a Soviet air-cooled 7.62 mm heavy machine gun introduced during the Second World War as a replacement for the older Maxim. It stood out for its rugged construction and reliability, was commonly mounted on a wheeled carriage with a shield and served in the postwar years with many armies.
First wash the parts free of uncured print resin, separate them carefully from the print supports and clean up their marks. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate (super glue); sand with respiratory protection. Before building, the resin can be dipped for a moment in hot water: once warmed it softens slightly and is easier to work with.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and a base model are not included.
