Masking pieces for the cockpit of a model of the German project aircraft Gotha P.60 in 1:72. They are applied to finished glazing, pressed down and, after spraying, taken off; under them stays absolutely clear glass without a veil and the frame comes out in an exact width. With a flying wing that matters more than elsewhere, because the glazed part makes up almost the whole nose of the machine and draws the eye first.
During the war the Gothaer Waggonfabrik company was to prepare series production of the Horten jet flying wing, and on that basis it worked up its own P.60 line of designs. It was a tailless machine with a pair of jet engines placed above and below the center of the wing; the crew was to lie side by side in the glazed nose, so as to reduce frontal drag. A night fighter version with radar was considered as well. None of the designs got further than a wooden mock-up, and so today it belongs among the popular so-called aircraft that never flew.
Wash the glazing before masking and let it dry; grease from the fingers is the most frequent cause of an edge coming unstuck. Spray the paint in thin coats; with a heavy application a step arises at the edge. Pointed tweezers will manage the removal, catching the piece by a corner.
This is not a kit; the contents are masking pieces for painting.
