Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British twin-engine Handley Page Hampden bomber in 1:72 scale from the traditional Airfix marque. The package contains sprues with the parts and decals, while the assembly and the painting are up to the modeler. The type belongs among the less usual subjects, even though it stood in the front line at the beginning of the war.
The Hampden came about in the second half of the 1930s as a fast medium bomber with Bristol Pegasus radial engines. It is conspicuous for its deep but extremely narrow fuselage, which passed into a long tail boom, and which the crew nicknamed the flying suitcase. Four men were crammed inside without the possibility of changing places. The machines operated by day at first, after heavy losses they moved to night raids and some of them continued with the coastal command as torpedo carriers, before four-engine types replaced them.
The glazing of the cockpit and of the gunners' stations is seen from both sides, so spray the interior before you close the fuselage. The narrow sides call for careful filling, so that the engraved details do not disappear. The upper camouflage of dark green and brown can be led with a soft edge from modeling putty, while the underside stays in black or a light night color according to the chosen variant.
The kit arrives as unglued parts without paint, and you will give it its resulting form.
