This is NOT a kit but a cockpit detail accessory. The set of color 3D decals by Quinta Studio is printed in layers on a decal backing paper and is raised, so that once applied it looks three-dimensional. It gives the model a color instrument panel, side consoles, levers, a seat and harness belts with no painting. It is intended for models of the early Harrier Gr.1/Gr.3 versions in 1:72 scale. The decals are shaped to the parts of the Airfix kit.
The Hawker Siddeley Harrier was the first production combat aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL). The early Gr.1 and Gr.3 versions served with the Royal Air Force as light attack and reconnaissance machines able to operate from improvised sites away from conventional airfields. Power came from a vectored-thrust Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine.
Cover the places in the cockpit with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22). Cut the elements out of the sheet, soak them in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide them off the backing paper into the designated place. They have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on the gloss varnish, and in heavily shaped places a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a fixer, because their chemicals attack the printed resin.
This is a standalone detail accessory. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
