Hawker Hurricane Mk. II Fishtail Exhausts 1:72 (Quickboost)

A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. Finely cast in resin, the set replaces the exhaust pipes of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk. II fighter in 1:72 scale, in the version with the flat fishtail ends. The Hurricane was one of the pillars of British fighter defense and was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. The part is aimed at more experienced modelers who work with resin.

What the part is for

The exhausts are clearly visible along the sides of the nose and their shape strongly influences the overall impression of the aircraft. The resin casting captures the faithful profile of the pipes with their flat ends, and on some pieces the outlets are even realistically hollowed, which a plastic part from the box rarely achieves. Painted in metallic and heat-resistant shades with light rust, the engine area comes alive.

• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue
• Cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with your airways protected
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate)
• For a faithful look use metallic shades and a light rust weathering
