An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary British Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. The HI-TECH edition adds a photo-etched metal fret and film for fine details, for example the instrument panel and the interior, to the basic plastic parts. A clear canopy part and a decal sheet are included.
Together with the Spitfire, the Hurricane was a key fighter of the Royal Air Force in the Battle of Britain. The Mk.IIc version was powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine and carried the heavy armament of four 20 mm cannon in the wing, which let it serve as a fighter bomber and attack aircraft on a number of fronts as well.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and attach the photo-etched parts with super glue. Before painting, a primer coat and an airbrush for even covering layers of the camouflage schemes work well. The photo-etched interior comes out after dry-brushed weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
