A color photo-etched instrument panel for the German Heinkel He 51 fighter biplane in 1:72 scale. It is a finished accessory for a cockpit, not an aircraft kit. Thin photo-etched metal with pre-printed color dial faces replaces the panel from the kit and, even in the small scale, gives the cockpit an authentic, sharply legible look without hand painting. Dimensionally it is based on the ICM kit.
The Heinkel He 51 was a German single-seat fighter biplane of the early 1930s. It was among the first production fighters of the newly rebuilt Luftwaffe and proved itself in combat in the Spanish Civil War, where the Condor Legion used it. Later it moved largely into the training and ground-attack role.
Break the panel out of the fret, remove the original instrument panel from the kit and seat the new one in its place. It holds best with a drop of cyanoacrylate or of glue for photo-etched parts. The part is small in this scale, so work with fine tweezers and try it for fit before fixing it.
This is a detail accessory for a cockpit, not a kit. The ICM base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
