A machine in this form never came into being, so the model is a reconstruction of a project and the color schemes are hypothetical. The series contains several numbers, and each of them represents a different proposed form of the same basis.
The basis is the small single-engine He 162 jet aircraft of mixed construction, on which the engine was housed in a nacelle on the back of the fuselage and the vertical tail was divided into two parts. The designs of the B series were to take this basis further: a lengthened fuselage with a larger fuel load, a modified wing and more powerful propulsion were all considered. The work stayed at the stage of drawings and studies. The designation 46 in the name of the series is a modeling convention for a hypothetical setting in the year 1946, used for projects that never reached production.
With short-run molds, dry-fit the parts first and tune any unevenness of the mating surfaces by sanding. The most sensitive point is the seating of the twin vertical tail: both halves have to stand symmetrically, which is best checked by looking from behind against the light. Finish the cockpit and the nose landing gear before closing the fuselage. When painting, keep to simple late schemes, because elaborate camouflage looks unconvincing on a hypothetical machine.
