An aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right. The set holds 3D printed exhausts of the round type for building the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter in 1:72 scale. The parts replace the exhausts from a plastic kit and bring a more faithful shape and finer detail. With minor work they can be used on other kits as well. The exhausts are intended primarily for the Hurricane Mk.I kit from Arma Hobby.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was a British single-seat fighter that played a key part in the Battle of Britain. The exhausts of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine are among the visually prominent features of the nose, and rendering them faithfully markedly raises the impression a finished model makes.
Wash the resin and 3D printed parts free of uncured printing resin residue, separate them from their support blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The openings of the exhausts can be picked out in a dark shade, and a metallic cast is created with a metallic paint or with pigments. Sand with respiratory protection.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
