1:72 I.A.R. IAR.81C, an Eduard photo-etched set for the late combat version of the Romanian machine in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
What you are buying are the metal details; the plastic base has to come from elsewhere. The item belongs among the full photo-etched sets for the small scale, which cover a larger part of the model than the narrowed renditions. It comes into its own everywhere the molded shape looks too massive against the real thickness of the sheet.
The IAR.81 line came out of the IAR.80 design and brought changes for attacks on ground targets as well as for fighting bomber formations. The last production rendition, designated 81C, received heavier gun armament and was committed in 1943 and 1944 mainly in the defense of Romanian airspace. Machines of that period wore striking yellow recognition markings. The Romanian Air Force first fought alongside Germany and, after August 1944, on the opposite side of the front.
Plan the order of the steps ahead: most of the internal metal elements have to be in place before the fuselage is closed up. Get the grease from your fingers off the metal surface, otherwise paint will not hold on it. Once the joints have dried, look the area over against the light once more and check whether any piece stands out of the plane.
The model, the painting materials and the glues are not included.
