Colored photo-etched instrument panel I.A.R.80 (the early form) in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. A pre-painted and assembled cockpit accessory for the Romanian fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A colored photo-etched instrument panel for models of the Romanian I.A.R.80 fighter in its early form, 1:72 scale, from Yahu Models. It is not a kit but a detail accessory for a cockpit. The panel is painted and assembled by the maker and ready to be glued in, so it replaces the simplified plastic panel from the kit and matches the instrument layout of the early machines.
The I.A.R.80 was a home-designed Romanian single-seat fighter with a radial engine, used during the Second World War. It was among the best indigenous designs of its day in the region. The early machines differed in cockpit detail from the later versions, and this execution of the panel matches that phase.
Cut or thin the plastic panel from the kit, degrease the mating surface and seat the colored etch with cyanoacrylate glue. The layered construction gives the instrument panel real depth and readable instruments. The work calls for tweezers and a feel for small photo-etched parts.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
