The resin set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings landing gear wheels worked out in detail for a model of the Ilyushin Il-2 ground-attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. The castings capture the pattern of the tire as well as the hub faithfully and as a rule self-adhesive masks for easy separation of the tire from the hub fill them out. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory raising the fidelity of a kit.
The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet armored ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War, one of the most produced combat aircraft in history. The landing gear wheels are among the visible details where the difference between a plastic part and a faithfully cast resin one stands out.
Wash the parts clean of the mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. You will separate the tire and the hub with the enclosed masks, lay the paint on with an airbrush and bring it out with a dry brush if needed.
The accessory is intended for finishing a plastic kit off. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
