A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set refines the exhaust nozzle of the Swedish Saab JAS-39C Gripen multirole fighter in 1:72 scale, in the open (spread) position as it looks after landing and when running on the ground. It replaces the simplified part from the box with a faithfully rendered nozzle with the internal structure of the petals and the correct shape of the opening. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
On a jet machine the exhaust nozzle is one of the most conspicuous details and it strongly shapes the overall impression seen from behind. The casting captures the fine petals and the inside of the nozzle, which cannot easily be created from solid plastic. Once painted in metallic shades and lightly weathered, it visually deepens the tail of the aircraft and gives it scale credibility.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
