1:32 WILDCAT ACES OVER GUADALCANAL

HGW Wildcat Aces over Guadalcanal 1:32 — wet transfers

This is a set of markings, not a model. Wet transfers are decals in which, after application, only the printed color itself is left on the surface, because the carrier film is removed from the model. The result comes close to sprayed or painted markings: the glossy edge that gives the film away on ordinary decals is missing, and on a matte surface the transition is not visible. The set is themed around Wildcat machines operating in the Guadalcanal area and is intended for models in 1:32 scale.

Applying wet transfers

• The surface has to be smooth and, as a rule, glossy. On a matte or grainy area the print will not bond over its whole surface and may peel off.
• Cut the element out with a small margin, soak it according to the manufacturer's instructions and transfer it to the model so that it does not crease while being positioned.
• Let the transfer dry properly and only then remove the carrier film — haste is the most common reason the motif comes away with it.
• The exact soaking and drying times are given in the instructions supplied with the product; the procedures differ between ranges.
• Seal the finished markings with clear at the degree of gloss you want, so that the surface of the model is unified.

Who the set is for

• For modelers building American carrier fighters in the large 1:32 scale.
• For those who are bothered by the visible film of classic decals on large areas.
• For builders with experience of decals, because the technology forgives fewer mistakes than an ordinary decal.

The set contains markings for a model, not the model itself. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
