A resin set of two figures in 1:72 scale showing the pilot and the rear gunner of the German Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber in the D and G versions. It is an accessory for an aircraft model, not a kit in itself. The figures bring the cockpit to life and give the scene scale; they also suit other German bombers of the period.
The Ju 87 Stuka was the iconic German dive bomber. In the D version it served as a bomber, while the anti-armor G version carried underwing cannons against tanks. The crew consisted of the pilot and a rear gunner manning a defensive machine gun.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do the sanding with respiratory protection. For flying suits acrylics work well, along with shading with a wash and highlighting with a dry brush; the faces benefit from gentle toning.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package.
