An injection-molded plastic kit of the German bomber Junkers Ju 88A-4 in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The box contains plastic parts with an engraved surface, the glazed nose section and a decal sheet. The model captures the main combat version A-4 with its glazed nose and its pair of engines and offers a rewarding build with good fit of the parts.
The Junkers Ju 88 was one of the most versatile and most widespread German combat aircraft of the Second World War. The A-4 version was the main bomber variant with a lengthened wing and more powerful engines. The aircraft proved itself as a level as well as a dive bomber and became the basis for a whole range of further versions, including night fighters and reconnaissance machines. It was deployed on practically every European battlefield.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the seams. It is best to mask and paint the glazed nose separately so that the frames of the glazing stand out. Assemble the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Spray the surface with a primer and apply the paints with an airbrush, then bring out the panel lines with a subtle wash. Apply the decals over a gloss coat and finish the model with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
