The Kamov Ka-52 is a Russian combat helicopter with two coaxial main rotors and a two-seat cockpit in which the crew sit side by side. The instrument fit consists largely of screens, so what decides the look of the cockpit on a model is precisely how the displays are rendered.

Without that base set, buying it on its own makes no sense, because the add-on does not cover the rest of the cockpit. It is prepared for the Ka-52 kits in 1:72 scale from Dream Model and Quinta.
The elements are printed on backing decal paper: soak the cut-out part in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so the surface has to be smooth, dry and ideally coated with gloss varnish (Future or Klear, Tamiya X-22); in a broken-up spot a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals would attack the printed resin. Separate the individual pieces with a sharp blade, move them with tweezers and press them down with a soft tool so that they bed onto the surface without bubbles. Fit them only at the moment when you have the base set laid out, because an element that has settled is hard to lift off.
For the modeler who is already building a Ka-52 with the QD+72229 interior set and wants the cockpit rendered as if running, with the instruments switched on. The elements are small in this scale, so fine tweezers and good lighting come in handy. The add-on does not contain the kit, the base interior set, paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
