Die-cut Montex painting masks in 1:72 scale for the Kawasaki Ki-102, Allied designation Randy. A clean spray finish on the frames of the cabins of this twin-engined heavy fighter of the Japanese Army Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
Precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks from the maker Montex for the kit of the Japanese aircraft Kawasaki Ki-102 in 1:72 scale. The two-seat Ki-102 has two separate glazed cabins with fine framing - masks will make it possible to spray them quickly, with sharp edges and with no risk of paint being drawn underneath.
The Kawasaki Ki-102, carried by the Allies under the code name Randy, was a twin-engined two-seat heavy fighter of the Japanese Army Air Force from the last period of the Second World War. It came about as the successor to the Ki-45 Toryu type and was built in renderings both for attacks on ground targets and for high-altitude interception. It was characterized by heavy gun armament concentrated in the nose, thanks to which it represented a serious threat to vessels, vehicles and bombers alike. It took part in the fighting only to a limited extent, among other things in the defense of the home islands, and the surviving photographs from the end of the war make it an attractive modeling subject.
Degrease the clear parts and seat the masks with tweezers piece by piece; with the two separate cabins, work out beforehand which pieces belong to the pilot and which to the rear gunner. Press the edges down thoroughly, spray thin layers and take the masks off shortly after it has dried. Japanese camouflage with a dark green upper surface shows at its best over a light base on the frames from the inside.
This is a modeling accessory - the kit of the aircraft itself is not included in the package.
