A resin detail set with a propeller for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-6 version in 1:72 scale from Quickboost (Aires). The set replaces the plastic propeller with an exactly cast resin part with the correct blade shape and a spinner, which refines the nose of the aircraft.
The Bf 109G-6 was one of the most widespread versions of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and its recognition feature was the bulged fairings over the synchronized fuselage armament. The propeller had broad metal blades with a spinner.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks carefully and sand the marks smooth. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting and spray the colors in thin coats with an airbrush. Watch that the blades are set at the right angle and that the spinner seats smoothly on the nose.
It is not an airplane model but a resin accessory for more advanced modelers. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
