The Aires Ki-61 I cockpit set 1:72 is a resin detail set that replaces the cockpit of a plastic kit of the Japanese Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but an Aires resin accessory set in 1:72 scale. The set is made to refine the cockpit of a plastic model of the Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien fighter considerably. It contains cast resin interior parts that replace the simpler plastic parts of the kit. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien was a Japanese single-seat fighter of the Second World War. It was marked by a liquid-cooled V engine, which was unusual among Japanese fighters of the time, and by slender aerodynamic shapes. The Allies gave it the code name Tony.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use respiratory protection while sanding. The interior is usually painted with an airbrush and the details brought out with a dry brush and a fine wash.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
