Responsibility details are not available.
This cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the Japanese twin-engine Mitsubishi Ki-67 Hiryu bomber, known to the Allies under the code name Peggy. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields with no lengthy hand-cutting of tape.
The Mitsubishi Ki-67 Hiryu is a Japanese twin-engine bomber from the end of the Second World War, often regarded as the best Japanese bomber of that conflict. Unlike many older Japanese aircraft it had decent armor, self-sealing tanks and good defensive armament. It was used as a conventional bomber and as a torpedo carrier. The glazed nose and cockpit are among the most demanding areas to paint.
Degrease the extensive glazing of the nose and cockpit carefully. Lift the masks off the backing and place them systematically on the individual windows, working panel by panel and pressing them into the edges. Fine-tune the transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package holds only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
