Injection-molded plastic model of the French twin-engine bomber Lioré et Olivier LeO 451 in 1:72 scale from Smer. This is an older molding; the parts have simpler surface detail than modern kits, but with a little care they can still yield a good representative model. The package includes plastic parts, a clear glazing part and a decal sheet.
The Lioré et Olivier LeO 451 was a French twin-engine bomber from the late 1930s, used during the Second World War. For its time it was an aerodynamically clean and fairly fast aircraft with a crew of several men. It saw combat mainly during the Battle of France in 1940 and remained in service in later years as well.
With an older molding, pay attention to cleaning up the parts – remove flash and ejector-pin marks, fill and sand the joints, and check the fit before gluing. Glue with a thin liquid modeling cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting and spray the French camouflage with an airbrush in thin coats; mask the color transitions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
