A photo-etched set for the LF-107 Lunak glider in 1:72 scale is an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not a model of the glider. It refines the detail on a small, simple model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set in etched sheet for a model of the Czechoslovak LF-107 Lunak aerobatic glider in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit; the model is bought separately and the set is cut for one particular kit, the Admiral one. The accessory is made by the Czech company Brengun.
From a modeling point of view a glider is a simple machine with no engine and no armament, which makes attention concentrate all the more on the cockpit and on small external features. Where a kit offers a flat plastic part, etched sheet can bring a thin edge, pressings and fine texture. A small model thus gains detail that really will be visible once the canopy is off. The exact make-up of the parts is on the packaging of the set.
Working with photo-etched parts on a glider is rewarding, because there tend to be fewer parts and they are easy to reach. Degrease the sheet with alcohol, make the bends in a bending tool or between two blades and glue it with super glue drop by drop. Apply the primer thinly so that the relief is not drowned. Gliders often have light, glossy surfaces on which every irregularity shows, so sand the area carefully before painting and fill any gaps with putty. The interior comes out after a fine wash and a dry brush.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and it is not a model kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
