1:72 Luftwaffe set 1 is a combined package of Omask masking sets for German aircraft in 1:72 scale. It brings several of the manufacturer's individual sets together into one whole.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for the build, not a kit. The package brings together several separate masking sets from the manufacturer that are otherwise sold individually, and offers them in one place for builders of German aircraft in 1:72 scale. The particular composition of combined packages varies and is stated on the box.
Pre-cut self-adhesive masks cover the areas that are to stay clean after spraying, typically the cockpit glazing and other small details. Compared with hand-cut tape they hold the exact shape of the frames and save hours of work, especially on types with a complex canopy such as many German machines of the Second World War had.
First degrease the glazing and let it dry, place the masks with tweezers and press the edges down with a toothpick. Spray a thin coat of the frame shade first, let it dry and only then continue with the covering coats; any seepage will then stay hidden. Remove the masks shortly after the paint has dried, with tweezers at an acute angle. Store unused sheets in the package out of direct light so that the adhesive does not dry out. On complex canopies it pays to proceed field by field and to keep enough drying time between coats; paint laid on a damp base easily seeps under the mask and the edge is then not sharp.
