Photo-etched metal parts for a model of the American M4A3 Sherman medium tank in 1:72 scale. The package contains two pieces.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M4A3 is one of the versions of the American M4 Sherman medium tank, the most widespread Allied tank of the Second World War. The individual versions differ in their power unit and in the form of the hull, but the silhouette with a tall hull and a rounded turret remains common to them and the machine can be recognized at first glance.
Photo-etched metal parts in 1:72 scale, two pieces in one package. According to the name the set is cut for the kit designated by the abbreviation HAT. In small scales photo-etched metal tells most precisely where plastic has to stay thick: on the edges of fenders, on handles, on tool brackets and on the grilles over the engine compartment. What exactly the package carries and where each part belongs are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
In 1:72 scale the parts really are tiny, so work over a tray with a raised edge and pick them up with tweezers with fine tips. Release a part with a cut from a sharp blade on a hard surface and level the remains of the tab with a fine file. The bends run along the scored line; bend the metal in one movement by pressing it against a straight edge. Dose the glue in a tiny amount with the tip of a toothpick, otherwise a drop of cyanoacrylate will flood a small part. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a base intended for metal, so that the finish holds.
A photo-etched set is supplied. The model of the tank, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
