Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M4A3E8 Sherman medium tank, nicknamed the Easy Eight, in the form with steel T66 tracks, in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the late Second World War form with the wide HVSS suspension. The tracks are of the flexible (vinyl) type with the T66 pattern impressed, and a decal sheet is included.
The M4A3E8 was an improved version of the Sherman, whose letter designation E8 comes from the new HVSS suspension with horizontal coil springs. That brought a calmer ride, easier maintenance and wider tracks with better cross-country mobility. The vehicle carried a longer 76 mm gun with higher penetration, which improved its chances against more heavily armored opponents. The nickname Easy Eight arose from spelling out the designation E8 and caught on among the crews.
Assemble the HVSS suspension and the wheels before closing up the hull. Use thin cement, a primer and an airbrush; you will bring the olive green finish to life with dark washes into the seams and pigments for dust and mud on the wide running gear, which is a striking feature of this version.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
