Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British fighter biplane Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a with the Wolseley Viper engine, in 1:48 scale from Roden. The model has a fine surface, a basic cockpit and engine and separately shaped control surfaces. A clear windscreen in front of the pilot and decals for several period machines tend to be included as well.
The S.E.5a was one of the most successful British fighters of the First World War. It stood out for its speed, its steadiness as a gun platform and its toughness. The Wolseley Viper engine was the British license variant of the V-type Hispano-Suiza engine; a number of well known aces of the Royal Flying Corps and of the later Royal Air Force flew with it.
Cut the parts from the sprues carefully and paint the cockpit and the engine before closing the fuselage. Suggest the external bracing with fine thread. The British color scheme will stand out with an airbrush over a primer; set the decals with a decal softener and even out the surface with a matte to satin varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
