About product

Sikorsky UH-34 Choctaw 1:72 masking set - the BASIC level, New Ware

A self-adhesive masking set of fine Japanese kabuki tape, shaped by precise machine die-cutting. It speeds up and sharpens the masking of the glazing when airbrushing. It is intended for models of the Sikorsky UH-34 Choctaw transport and utility helicopter in 1:72 scale.

The BASIC level

The basic level of the set covers the richly glazed cockpit and the other clear parts from the outside, plus the wheel rims. That is especially useful with a helicopter, whose extensive glazing would take a long time to mask by hand.

Use and tips

First degrease the glazing and dry it. Lift the masks off the sheet with tweezers, place them on the part and press them down carefully all around the edge, so that paint does not creep underneath. Spray in thin coats and take the masks off carefully once the paint is dry. Kabuki tape can be shaped into curves, holds its shape and leaves no adhesive behind.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building the UH-34 Choctaw helicopter in 1:72 scale
  • Anyone who wants to mask the extensive cockpit glazing quickly
  • Beginners, for whom the basic level is enough
  • Users of an airbrush as well as a brush

This is a masking accessory, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
