Mask 1:72 Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1/3 is a die-cut masking set for covering the cockpit glazing while spraying a model. It is not a kit but an accessory for one.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Special Mask. It serves to cover the clear parts of a model so that they stay clean and so that the canopy framing comes from sprayed paint rather than from outlining by hand with a brush. The masks are cut to the shape of particular parts, so the slow measuring and cutting of tape directly on the model falls away.
The early Emil versions had a cockpit made up of a windscreen, a side-hinged hood and rear glazing, and they were laced with a fairly dense network of frames. Tape cut by hand in such a small scale easily slips, the edge frays and an uneven width of framing shows at once on the finished model. A die-cut mask holds a constant width along its whole length and spraying gives a sharp transition that reads correctly in scale. A framing decal, by contrast, stays glossy and its carrier film shows on the glazing.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
