An injection-molded plastic kit of the Messerschmitt Me 262A-2a in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss - the bomber version of the first operational jet aircraft, the Easy Assembly line.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German jet aircraft Messerschmitt Me 262A-2a in 1:72 scale from the Hobby Boss production. This is the bomber (fighter-bomber) version, called the Sturmvogel, with racks for bombs and drop tanks. The model belongs to the simplified Easy Assembly line: large one-piece parts, a one-piece cockpit tub and a one-piece canopy. There are two bombs and two drop tanks in the package; the exact contents may differ according to the release.
The Me 262 was the first jet aircraft in the world to see combat. It was powered by a pair of jet engines mounted under the wings, and its speed markedly exceeded that of the piston fighters of the day. The A-2a Sturmvogel version was adapted to carry bombs and to attack ground targets; this role was largely dictated by the decision to deploy the new type as a fast bomber as well.
Glue the large airframe parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the joints down. Attach the underwing stores (bombs and tanks) only after the basic painting. Apply the typical late-war German schemes (mottled camouflage) with an airbrush over primer and add a wash of the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
