The Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the company Tamiya. The German fighter of the Battle of Britain period.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. The model faithfully captures the sharp lines of the fuselage and the relatively small wing characteristic of the early versions of the Emil series. The set is meant to be assembled and painted and offers several marking options.
The Bf 109E-3 was among the first large-scale production versions of the Emil series and formed the backbone of the German fighter force at the beginning of the Second World War, among other occasions during the Battle of Britain. It stood out for its speed and acceleration and was armed with a combination of machine guns and cannon. It remains one of the best known fighters of its time and a staple subject for modelers and historians alike.
Tamiya parts fit precisely, and a thin cement for plastic is enough. The typical German camouflage with mottled fuselage sides is handled well with an airbrush and soft transitions. Spray the areas with a gloss varnish before the decals and tie the result together with a matte overcoat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
