A resin, 3D-printed model of the German MG 42 machine gun in the small 1:72 scale by Firma49. It is a separate weapon accessory for fitting out dioramas, vehicles and figure scenes, not a kit. Even in the small scale it keeps the characteristic shape of the machine gun with its barrel shroud and bipod.
The MG 42 was a German general-purpose machine gun of 7.92 mm caliber from the Second World War. It became famous for its very high rate of fire and was deployed as both a light and a heavy machine gun. It is one of the best-known infantry weapons of the conflict and it influenced the postwar development of this category.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package.
