This resin set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings finely worked main landing gear wheels for a model of the MiG-15 fighter in 1:72 scale. The set contains two renderings of the wheels with a different pattern, so you can choose the variant matching your subject. Self-adhesive masks for easy painting of the tire and the hub are usually included. Please note that this is a detail accessory, not a standalone airplane model.
The MiG-15 is a Soviet single-seat jet fighter of the late 1940s with a swept wing that became famous in the Korean War. The main landing gear wheels are among the exposed details where the difference between a simplified plastic part and a faithfully cast resin one stands out.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, carefully separate the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate. Sand with respiratory protection. You separate the tire and the hub with the enclosed masks, apply the paint with an airbrush and, if you like, bring it out with dry-brushing.
The accessory is intended for completing a plastic kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
