An injection-molded plastic kit of the improved single-seat version of the Soviet MiG-15bis jet fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model from the Easy Assembly range has a simplified parts count and well-captured external shapes, so it suits less experienced builders as well. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with a decal sheet and instructions.
The MiG-15 (Fagot in the NATO code) was a Soviet single-seat first-generation jet fighter with a swept wing. The bis version received a more powerful engine and a range of changes that made it one of the most successful fighters of its day. The MiG-15 became famous in the Korean War, where it met American aircraft, and in many variants it served with dozens of air forces all over the world, including Czechoslovakia.
Separate the parts from the sprues, clean up the mold edges and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a base primer; natural metal surfaces come out well with an airbrush and shades of aluminum. On this slender fighter we recommend adding weight in the nose so that the model does not sit back on its tail. Bring out the engraved lines with a thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
