Die-cut self-adhesive painting masks from Peewit for the MiG-17 PF in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a set of masks for spraying the glazing cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks for the Soviet MiG-17 PF jet fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting. The masks are punched from masking material and follow the shape of the canopy frames, so they ensure sharp transitions without trimming tape by hand.
The MiG-17 was a single-seat jet fighter with a swept wing that followed on from the MiG-15. The PF version was an all-weather interceptor variant fitted with an airborne radar and an afterburner. It served with a number of Eastern bloc states and extended the fighter's use to night operations and poor visibility.
Lift the masks off with tweezers and lay them precisely on the canopy frames. Press the edges down thoroughly so that no paint creeps under them. First spray the glazing in the interior color and then in the covering shade of the fuselage. Apply the paint in thin coats and remove the masks while the paint has only set, so that the edges stay sharp. Wipe any adhesive residue off with a damp cloth.
The set contains masks only. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
