An aftermarket detail set of cast resin from the Czech manufacturer MH models for plastic models of the MiG-19 fighter in 1:72 scale. The package contains the instrument panel and the side panels of the cockpit with fine relief of the instruments. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for the cockpit. The panels are cast to fit the MiG-19 kit from Kovozavody Prostejov.
A base kit often deals with the instrument panel only with a decal or with coarse relief. The resin panels bring crisper detail of the dials and the controls, which markedly enlivens the cockpit once painted and shaded.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bring the instruments out with a dark wash and lightly with a dry brush; the dial faces can be finished with a drop of gloss varnish to imitate glass. Finish the interior before closing up the fuselage.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
